Barbara Lavina, University of Chicago and Argonne National Laboratory, participated in the 8th Italian Research Day in the World – Chicago, April 22, 2025. Hosted by the Consulate General of Italy in Chicago, the event “Dialogue on Quantum Science and Technology” was organized by Consul General Mario Alberto Bartoli. The event brought together leading Italian and American scientists and scholars from both sides of the Atlantic. Topics of focus included:
- Italy’s National Strategy for Quantum Science and Technology
- U.S. infrastructure and research programs in Quantum Computing, Networking, Materials, Sensors, and Metrology
The main goal: to strengthen existing partnerships and foster new opportunities for collaboration between Italian and US quantum research ecosystems, also involving business and investment communities.
