Detectors

• BAS2500 imaging plate scanner (2000x2500 mm, 100 µm pixel size): 105 dynamic range and low background noise, but difficult to get direct quantitative comparison between different images. Inconvenient for many exposures as it requires a hutch entry and exit for each slot. Currently available.
• Bruker 6000 CCD Detector (94x94mm, 92 µm pixel size): reasonable area coverage especially if the beam center is placed to one side of active frame. Few second read-out time. Currently available.
• Bruker APEXII Detector (62 x 62 active area) with four ports readout:
  readout with 8 x 8 binning takes ~1 s (uncorrelated); readout with 4 x 4 binning takes ~1.5 s (uncorrelated); 2θ range ~25 to -110°.
